The Blood of Jesus and
angels protect us against danger

God used the blood of Jesus after his death and resurrection for our protection. As Christians, we need to apply the power of angels and blood of Jesus Christ around our homes to protect our families against evil in this world.

Angels and Spiritual Bloodlines

In my limited experience as a Christian, I have found two things that help protect us from the beast out of the abyss. I learned in my early Christian years to station angels around our home and property. I also put a spiritual line from the blood of Jesus Christ around our property and us. The shed blood of the Lamb gives us protection against the evil one.

On the first Passover, the Israelites put the blood from slain lambs on the sides and the tops of their doors. The blood kept the destroyer from coming in and killing the firstborn. The Bible says the blood of our Savior has more power than the blood of animal sacrifices (Heb. 9:11–14). The OT saints used the blood of animal sacrifices to protect themselves against evil. For this reason, how much more should we use the blood of Jesus to protect us from evil.

We as Christians may not understand all the reasons for using the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This should not keep us from putting a spiritual line of shed blood around our families. I didn’t understand it when I first used God’s protection over twenty years ago. Yet, God in his grace sheltered us. We live in the inner city of Portland. We have never had a break-in or a car stolen in twenty-eight years. God’s so good; there’s power in the blood.

The Blood of Jesus Takes Care of Us

We walked around our home and properties to put angels and a spiritual bloodline around them. As Linda and I walked around, we asked the Lord to circle the property with the blood of Jesus so that no spiritual or physical enemy could cross it. We asked God in the name of Jesus Christ to put a spiritual line of his shed blood around each member of our family.

We apply the blood and angels to each individual and property. In our prayers, we also ask for protection from the blood each day. Once a year or more, we walk around our home to remind God and to reinforce the angels and the blood of Jesus (Luke 18:2–8).

The Blood of Jesus and Angels Protect Children

We use a moving protection line around each of our vehicles, which we reinforce a few times a year. I lived in a motor home while I wrote this book. I reinforced the angel protection and the bloodline around it every time I parked it. Some Christians might consider this paying too much attention to the enemy. Yet, I believe that helps to keep the evil one away. The angels from God and the blood of Jesus help keep the deceiver from leading me where the Holy Spirit doesn’t want me to go.

Use Effective Tools

Christians whom God leads into effective spiritual ministry find this true. They experience spiritual battles and learn the … patience and the faith of the saints. Some find that without protective prayer their spiritual ministry goes flat.

The Almighty gives his children many tools in the Bible. All we need to do is choose the ones that work for us and use them. Each child of God needs to experiment and find what works best for him or her. We speak the Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit does the rest. “Thank you, Lord, for your Word and tools of protection. Thank you, Father, for your grace and authority that covers the darkness with your Light.
