helps God Reign on Earth

Christian prayer seems valuable to our God. Our Lord treasures the prayers of his faithful people on earth. He keeps the Christian prayer in golden bowls at his Throne in Heaven. The Bible speaks much about how Christian prayer helps God control the destiny of people and events throughout the world.7He came and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. 8And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints (Rev. 5:7, 8, NIV). John witnessed an important event in the history of the world. He saw the moment when the risen Christ came back from the grave and presented himself to the Father. John saw the return of the living triumphant Christ. The Lamb went up to the Father … and took the scroll from the right hand. After the King of Glory took the scroll, the four cherubim and the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the Lamb. This scene in Heaven pointed to Glory and Majesty of the living Christ, whose name towers above every other name. Christian Prayer Important to GodEach of the elders holds a golden bowl filled with … incense, which are the prayers of the saints. The golden bowls of incense symbolize of the prayers of God’s children here on the earth. God considers Christian prayer so precious that he keeps them in golden bowls. God didn’t reveal prayers until Jesus gained victory and returned to the Father in his Revelation. The Almighty waited until the victory celebration of the risen Savior before he brought out the Christian prayers of the saints. What do you think our Father was trying to say to us by this act? I understand that our prayer endures longer than most other actions that we do. It appears that the Lord puts the highest priority on Christian prayer. God hears our prayers, and yet many people don’t understand the importance of them. God uses Christian prayer as a key to bring salvation, deliverance, and healing for men, women, and children. Prayer opens the gate that leads us into Heaven. Someday we shall join the other saints and rejoice with our Savior over answered prayers.... Jesus Contrasted to Satan Jesus lives to give life; Satan lives to give death. Jesus comes to heal and comfort us; Satan comes to bring sickness and antagonize us. Jesus reveals himself as the God of truth and love; Satan reveals himself as the god of lies and hate. Jesus gives us joy, peace, and happiness; Satan gives us misery, strife, and sadness. Satan becomes more real as I draw closer to God. Because God limits Satan’s power over people, the Devil must seek God’s permission before he can harass a Christian (Luke 22:31, 32). Satan has little power over us because God has put his seal on us (Rev. 7:3). However, the Lord permits him to buffet us. This should cause our Christian prayer to increase as we gain the Lord’s strength.
Christian Prayer brings Light to Darkness6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Pet. 1:6, 7, NIV). God gives beautiful promises in the Bible. Jesus tells us to remain … faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
